| Overview: | Originally a microbiology graduate, I've been a subtitler and translator for ITV for over 14 years and have branched out into proofreading, editing and transcription. I can work from home or on site. |
CV
| Having worked in broadcasting for 13 years, I decided to go freelance. Since then, I've subtitled for a variety of companies involved in broadcast and DVD production, both UK-based and international, and have worked on a some large transcritpion projects for agencies such as MORI. I'm a native Scottish Gaelic speaker and have been translating between Gaelic and English off and on for the last 15 years or so. Past projects have included language learning programmes, children's books, adult educational materials and government reports. My degree was in microbiology, so I have a good grounding in medical and environmental sciences as well as the ability to edit and proofread to a high level. |
