Becoming a people4charity Seller
Free registration
It is completely free to register as a Seller on people4charity and to benefit from free invoicing and guaranteed 30-day payment terms. Registration with people4charity means that your details also appear on all the other people4 sites.
Find new markets
As a registered Seller, you will have access to businesses throughout the UK who are looking for your skills. It’s like having your own national marketing campaign.
Your rates
We have a policy of complete price transparency – anyone looking at the site will be able to see what they would pay for your services.
You can set your own hourly rate and change it at any time. We simply add our industry-beating 10% management fee to your standard rate. With such a lean management fee, people4business is very attractive to Buyers of your services.
Charity discount
You can set a special charity discount, for charities registered as Buyers on www.people4charity.com
On your homepage, you can choose the percentage by which you want to reduce your usual hourly rate, for contracts with registered charities. Your non-discounted rate will be publicised on our other sites, for businesses in other sectors.

Free invoicing & guaranted payment
We manage all invoicing and credit chasing on your behalf, and guarantee to pay you 30 calendar days after raising the invoice.
Fasterpay option
Fasterpay brings forward payment of your invoices to within five working days. This costs a small fee – 3% of your total payment – and you select it when you agree your contract terms.
Please note: 5 working days refers to the time we pay the invoice, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your payment within 5 working days.
For more information, please refer to Fasterpay information on the Seller invoicing page.
Your ratings
You get ratings from Buyers for your people4charity contracts.
You can also contact previous employers to provide retrospective ratings to enhance your people4charity listing.
Subscription
Subscribers benefit from top position in searches and a more prominent entry, with twice as much space for your ‘brief description’.
Subscription is currently £50.00 plus VAT for six-months, £75.00 plus VAT for a year.
The small print
Sellers’ terms and conditions include the undertaking that any contract you gain through people4business, people4charity or people4web2 must be invoiced through people4business limited contracts and timesheets.
To comply with employment and tax legislation, all Sellers need to be paid through their own limited company or through an umbrella company.
Setting up an account with an umbrella company is quick and straightforward and can ensure that you comply with the new IR35 tax regulations.
Using people4charity
Check out our how to sell yourself page, for some quick hints on making the most of people4charity and our related sites.
You can update your information at any time from your people4charity homepage.
Your skills
Check that your skills list is up to date, that you’ve included your key key skills and not those that aren’t relevant. If you’ve got a specific skill that we haven’t included, we are happy to add it to our database
Your CV
We strongly recommend filling out some brief CV details, as Buyers are unlikely to shortlist you without them.
You can also e-mail your CV to us and we’ll enter it for you. You can then update or amend the details at any time from your homepage.
Please take a look at our how to sell yourself page for advice on making the most of your CV.
Flexing your rate
You can set your own hourly rate, which cannot be less than the current minimum wage.
Your published rate is your chosen hourly rate, plus our management fee, which is a 10% margin.
Make sure you take this management fee into account when you are agreeing final rates with your Buyer.
