About ratings

You can get ratings for all your contracts through people4business Limited – via our sites, including «people4business», «people4charity», «people4engineering» and «people4web2».

Ratings are given to both Buyers and Sellers on our sites.

All your ratings are averaged to make your overall rating, which can seen by all users of the websites.

Star system

All of our ratings using a simple star system:

Excellent

Good

Average

Below Average

Poor

You can also make brief comments.

Please note that comments should be factual and contain appropriate language. All comments will be monitored before being published to the site.

Leaving ratings

As a Seller you can give your Buyer a rating after they have left you one. Your Buyers are only able to leave you a rating after they have paid the invoice for your contract.

Ratings are triggered on a per-invoice basis to ensure that Sellers on long contracts don’t end up with fewer opportunities to receive ratings. For contracts lasting longer than one month, both Buyer and Seller are able to leave people4business ratings for each month – or invoice period – of the contract.

Your ratings

Your people4 homepage displays your overall people4 rating and you can check all your ratings in detail on your My Ratings page.

On this page you’ll see when you’ve received a rating from a Buyer and you can then leave your own rating for them.

Retrospective ratings

Because Sellers with ratings are more likely to be shortlisted by Buyers, you can also gain ratings by getting feedback from previous employers.

From your My Ratings page, you can click on Retrospective Ratings to send an e-mail to your previous employer(s) to ask them to rate your performance. As soon as we hear back from them we’ll update your rating.

Of course, we’ll need to check that these ratings are accurate, so our customer support team will contact any employer who provides a Retrospective Rating.

Your word is final

Consider carefully before you leave a rating, as it cannot be edited once left. If you change your mind about a rating or a comment you have left; or if you want to object to a rating or comment you have received, please contact us:
