Consultancies on people4

The people4 sites – including «people4business», «people4charity», «people4engineering» and «people4web2» – give consultancies and contracting companies added flexibility.

You have access to businesses throughout the UK to market the skills of your consultants and contractors.

And you can also use the people4 sites when you need to buy in some new talent for a contract.

Buying in skills

If you need to buy in additional skills for a particular contract, you can register as a Buyer on people4business and search through our database of skilled professionals to find the appropriate Seller(s).

Registering your consultancy

Note that you should only register as a Buyer on behalf of your consultancy, if you have the authority to agree to the Buyer terms and conditions, on behalf of your consultancy:

As part of both the Buyers’ and the Sellers’ terms and conditions – which are legally binding – you confirm that contacts made, services purchased, or contracts gained through any of the people4 websites will be invoiced only through people4business Limited contracts and timesheets.

Selling on people4business

Registering your consultants as Sellers on the people4 sites gives you access to new opportunities, to cover those times when your consultants are less busy.

Your consultants and contractors can register as individual Sellers on the people4 sites or you can register on their behalf, by filling out all the appropriate details. You need to ensure that they also agree with the terms and conditions of people4business Limited.

Your consultants’ rates

All Sellers’ rates are published on people4business.

Our management fee – a 10% margin – is included within the published rate. This management fee is substantially lower than standard agency margins, so our Sellers’ rates are very competitive.

You can flex the rates you set for your Sellers at any time — to take advantage of a buoyant market, or to gain more business in a slow one.

Payments

Payments for your consultants’ contracts with people4business will be made direct to your consultancy.

We deal with all your Sellers’ invoicing and credit control.

Our usual business practice will be to pay Sellers at 30 calendar days after the invoice to the Buyer has been raised.

The invoice will be raised either upon completion of the contract or, for those contracts lasting for longer than one month, on a monthly basis.

Fasterpay

If you want quicker payment, you can choose our Fasterpay option. For an additional charge of just 3% of your total payment, we can bring payment forward to within 5 business days after the invoice has been raised.

Please note that the Fasterpay payment can only take place when the Buyer has agreed the final – or month end – timesheet.

The small print

When your consultants enter into a contract through people4business, you and they agree with our terms and conditions, which include the undertaking that contacts made, services purchased, or contracts gained through any of the people4 websites will be invoiced only through people4business Limited contracts and timesheets. .
